Here you will find answers to common questions. If you don't find your answer here, please email, or call.

We accept the following forms of payment:
Cash: Cash is always accepted as payment. I do not suggest mailing cash. Should you chose to do so please mail in a priority flat rate envelope with delivery conformation. This protects both of us. Most puppy pick ups are paid in cash

Check: Checks can be mailed for puppy deposits and Payments. However, Check must be cleared before puppy can be picked up or shipped.

PayPal: A $100 PayPal puppy deposit payment is free. *All other PUPPY PayPal payments must add 3% to the total, to cover PayPal fees. PayPal fees cannot be refunded.**

Credit cards: I am not set up to take credit cards. If looking to pay with a credit card, I suggest using PayPal.

Puppy Prices: I don't list puppy Prices. Why? Keeps people from sending in Deposits without talking with me. Puppy prices do vary by litter. In general puppies usually run $450.  Sometimes less, rarely more.

What is included in the price?: Micro chipping, first shots, A puppy pack of food (1lb), treats, toys. Health guarantee for one year that guarantees against genetic defects that could result in death.

Puppy pickups: Puppies are ready to go at 8 weeks (9weeks if shipping), Can't pick up at 8 weeks? Not a problem. As long as the puppy is paid for by 8 weeks, I do not mind holding on to them a little longer. I do NOT charge you extra to hold onto a puppy. (are you kidding? extra time with the puppy? Thank you!)

Wait Lists: Yes I have waitlists for upcoming litters. What is a waitlist? Waitlists are free, and give you pick of the litter for the pup you are waiting on. Waitlists go in order, if there are multiple waits for the same puppy, say there are 3 people waiting on Paige to have a Choc. Female, First person gets first pick, then second pick and so on. Waitlists are not obligated to buy. Waitlisters must put a deposit on their picked puppy by 1 week old or lose their pick. I do not hold puppies without a deposit. Waitlists must confirm their place a week before the due date. If I do not hear from you I reserve the right to take you off the list. Changed your mind? Fell in love with a different puppy, not your waitlisted pup? That is fine, but if there is a waitlister for that puppy, that waitlister still gets first pick.

Microchipping: I microchip all puppies. No exceptions. If you choose not to sign up and activate the microchip, the company records any and all calls for the microchip. So even if you don't activate it, and the puppy gets lost, the call center will have a record of the puppy if found. You can still call them to find your puppy. We microchip with HomeAgain.

Companion dogs: I raise the puppies to be companion dogs. They are well socialized with adults, kids, cats and other dogs. Puppies start potty training outdoors at 6 weeks old. They are trained to come when called by 7 weeks old. By 8 weeks, they have learned to walk with me. I teach them manners such as no biting, growling or aggressive behaviors. I teach them to be part of the family. I know how stressfull it is to bring home a puppy that is wild and does not know how to behave indoors. I am trying to prevent that stress for my puppy buyers.

Help!!: Have questions? Need puppy advice? What to do? or How to do it? Call me, I am here to help! I am a full service breeder, I am here to help before and after you get the puppy home.

Miniature: We only have mini dachshunds.  All of our breeder dogs are 11lbs and under. I do not guarantee size or weight of the puppies. Nature can run its course and it be a bigger pup. It is unlikly, but possible.  A fat mini dachshund is still a mini.

AKC: Adult dogs are registered with with AKC. Puppies can be registered. Limited papers are with a spay/neuter contract. Papers would be given when proof of surgery is given. Full papers are available to approved breeders.

Feed: Puppies are fed "ProPac Small Breed Puppy". You will be given a sample of their food, about 6 cups to help get them transfered to their new diet if you choose not to feed ProPac.  Puppies should be fed twice a day (about 1/4-1/2 cup each feeding) until 4 months old.  After that they can be fed once a day (about 1/2-3/4 cup).  This is not a limitation on food, but merely about all that little body can hold in one feeding.

Dewclaws: We do not remove dew claws unless they are on the back paws. We feel the front dew claws are useful and natural to the dog. *If you want front dewclaws removed. It can be done, but not after the pup is 4 days old.

Shots:  Puppies are given there 5in1 shots every three weeks starting at 6 weeks old. If you live in the area, you can bring the puppy by for their additional shots at 9 weeks, 12 weeks and 15 weeks. Cost is $15 per shot.

Dewormer: Puppies are dewormed every 2 weeks. You shoud continue worming your puppy when you bring them home. Puppies should be wormed at 10weeks, 15 weeks and at 6 months old OR as needed. Signs of worms include: Swollen belly, diarrhea, lack of energy, or loss of appetite. You will want a wormer that treats Roundworms and Hookworms.

Potty Training: Pups are puppy pad trained.  However, We start taking them outside at 6 weeks old.  They are taken out to potty when the wake up and after they eat, this will hopefully make potty training a lot easier on them and you in their new home.

Discounts: We are a military family. Go ARMY! Currently the only discount we give out is to the military and their families (dependents). Military discount is for Card Carrying (military ID) military members and dependents. Must have a valid ID when picking up the puppy.

Shipping: Shipping is available by plane to most areas for $335. Price includes crate, vet visit, and airfare. Airlines will NOT ship if it is too hot or cold at any point in the flight. Expect some delays in the peak of summer and winter.  Puppies can fly at 9 weeks old, and after they recieve their second shots.

Drive to meet: Yes I will drive to meet you. I can drive as far as I can and still get home in one day. The first hour is free, every hour after that is $50. For example.  Knoxville is a 4 hour drive one way. The fee for delivering to Knoxville would be $150.
